Here is The B necklace which is are all over the "Ugly Betty" site on ABC's new show premiere which ABC is promoting heavy and Channel 4 is promoting in the UK.

The Ugly Betty necklace is made by Jen Parrish, an artist who specializes in handcrafted and historical pieces.This last Febuary, I was on the way to London with Jennifer’s most recognizable historical pieces, a reproduction of Tudor Queen Anne Boleyn’s “B” pendant to show to an Anne Boleyn film production and met up with Pat Fields in NYC, famed costume designer of “Sex and the City”. Pat bought the “B” necklaces for the pilot of “Ugly Betty” and they never made it to London

Does anybody know who makes the jewelry that "Bones" wears on the TV
show? It has great texture, innovative designs, and she never seems to
wear the same pieces from show to show. And I can't read the very tiny
print credits that run at the end of the program. I would love to some
of these pieces up close.

OH I know I love her jewelry I am always captivated by it every
week...I want close ups...lolol
I noticed when watching "Fever Pitch" this weekend that Drew
Barrymore's necklaces were really nice as well.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one watching TV for the
express purpose of checking out jewelry. I also like "The Ghost
Whisperer" not that I am a big Jennifer Love Hewitt fan, but I do like
the jewelry.

How do you go about breaking into the design-for-the-stars business?

Hi,
You're welcome. I too, liked what she wore and said to myself...hmmm, I
wonder who did that piece.

The past shows she also wore nice focal pieces. Not flashy, but quite
appropriate for her occupation!

I was going to mention the Ghost Whisperer...not just Jenifer's pieces
but also Aihisa(sp?) Taylor's as well. Beautiful jewelry!! The earrings
are always FANTASTIC!!!

Fairestrose ~ Naw, I was teasingly saying thank you to atalanta for her
comment about anthropologists wearing the coolest jewelry- I'm an
archaeologist, CRM. That's why I quoted her post. Actually, I don't
even watch TV so I don't know who you guys are talking about, cool
jewelry on the site, though.

We find beads at sites all the time! Of course, they get numbered and
cleaned and put in boxes to be sent back to the lab. There are many
sites that take volunteer assistance. I'd contact your local CRM
(cultural resource management) branch and ask. Or, if you're looking
for something a little more exotic there are a lot of sites in western
Russia and many "Eastern Block" countries that currently need help...

Hello Kimberly,

You asked about how you get into shows. Our head designer Maya Brenner
does TV shows after a couple of star liked her jewelry and asked her to
do some thing for a show. Now we are fortunate that we have our jewelry
on Desperate Housewives, Alias, and the OC just to name a few. In fact
on the OC the character is a jewelry designer and she uses our Luxe
Jewels kits. Great publicity for us.

Patti ~ There usually are groups who go, although they don't travel
together, usually they just meet in the nearest big city and move
around as a unit from there. When I was just starting out, I did a turn
at the Achill Island Archaeology school, not nearly as risky and a
great deal of fun all around.

Y'know, I really wanted to be an archeologist when I was a kid. I'm
exactly the anal retentive type who would totally "dig" (forgive the
pun) the exacting work of locating a tiny object, brushing it off,
photographing it, and cataloguing it. I used to pretend to do digs in
the backyard; I'd clean and brush off my "finds" with a tiny brush and
write them down...

Well, it's been picked up for another season so you have a chance,
csaen! It might be available on DVD next year so if you come back to
the States, you might be able to get it through Netflix.
